A home care hospital bed is a sound investment to provide comfort to both the patient and the caretaker. A hospital bed should be functional, durable, and easy-to-use. To aid in choosing the right variations for your use-case we have included details about the 3 options we have available.

Semi-Electric  vs. Full Electric

A semi-electric bed will include a simple remote that will adjust the head and foot position of the bed, but to raise or lower the height of the frame (usually for easier entry/exit) a crank in the front will need to be spun.

A full electric bed will have an extra button on the remote for adjusting the height, but costs more. No cranking necessary.

Innerspring Mattress vs. Foam Mattress

An innerspring mattress will provide a consistent amount of support throughout the mattress and the vinyl cover will be fluid, odor, mold, and stain resistant. A good choice if the patient is incontinent.

A foam mattress provides effective pressure injury prevention and offers a therapeutic alternative to traditional homecare innerspring mattresses.

A foam mattress is picked most often.

Half Rails vs. Full Rails

half rail is a rail that is cinched down onto the bed frame and covers roughly half of the bed. This can be used as a handrail.

full rail is a rail that covers MOST of the bed. This is a excellent option for patients that are fall risks out of bed, but limits how much room you have to exit the bed.

A half rail is picked most often.

Once an order is placed we will call you to schedule delivery and installation. We sincerely hope it will provide the very best in functionality, comfort, rest and convenience.

P.S: Bed extensions, bed linens, different mattress types, and cushions are available to be ordered at additional cost.
